The Loft's primary heartbeat is the Presence of God. As the song beckons, "I don't wanna talk about You, like You're not in the room," we believe the kingdom of God is always near. So, in every relationship, function, and event, our desire is to encounter Jesus. We've found this ever-awareness of His Presence to be vital in maintaining life and adventure in all we are and do.
In February of 2015, our journey began with a word from God to disciple. Eight people on a Tuesday night, gathered around chips, salsa, and His Presence. That was our genesis. Within weeks though, the power of God had swept through and saved, healed, and delivered many more. A few months later, over 90 people were packing into Josh's downtown, loft apartment to worship, hear the Word preached and encounter the Holy Spirit.
Bursting at the seams, our gathering was forced to move into a store front property. A School of Discipleship and Healing Room were soon added. God made clear He had more in mind. In 2016, we began to introduce regional home groups we affectionately nicknamed "Small Meats." In July of 2017, we moved into a newly remodeled building at 112 E Monroe Street, as the former property could no longer accommodate the main service crowds. With more building space, updated technology and growing media services, we are excited for all of the potential and reach possible through God's blessings. Best of all, His Presence continues to manifest in the same ways it always has, if not in increased measure. All glory to God!
